Key West after Sloppy Joes. 11″ x 14″ Original Acrylic on Canvas. My first trip to the keys occured after Hurricane Donna in 1960. We never made it to Key West due to washed out roads and bridges. But over the next 50 years or so I’ve made many trips to the Keys and Key West. This somewhat abstract painting depicts what Key West must have looked like after a few drinks at Sloppy Joe’s and that 1960 hurricane.
